YOur first APpointment
Your first session will start by making some notes and filling out an initial consultation form so I have all the details of the issue before we begin the counselling. The first appointment will last about 50 minutes and is charged at £50. I will then send a counselling contract after the initial appointment for you to sign and gather some important information.

- A therapy session is a time set aside on an agreed date at an agreed place, which provides a ‘safe’ space, which is private, undisturbed, and cannot be overheard or interrupted.
- An initial consultation will be conducted where the counsellor will ask the client some questions to be able to get an idea of what the issues and allows time for the client to ask questions.
- The counsellor will then reach an agreement with you about confidentiality and a contract will be signed by both the counsellor and the client.
- An agreement will then be made about how many sessions the client may need this may be weekly session or whatever suits the client best.
- Review session will be done periodically to see the positive effects the counselling is having and reinforcing the goals of the therapy sessions.
